no_
stigma!
At the end of last year, I had the opportunity to take on the complete design of the YouTube channel no_stigma!, created by Apotheken Umschau. Designing the channel’s CI and the motion graphics for the videos was truly enjoyable. I had complete creative freedom and the chance to design exactly as I envisioned.

This channel features interviews with individuals experiencing various psychological disorders, followed by two moderators providing insights on the topic. I aimed to support this subject with a visual language that incorporates a variety of colors and shapes while ensuring a level of dynamism that would appeal to younger audiences. The final designs, which you can see below, are the result of this approach.

Logo
When designing the logo, I decided to try a more illustrative approach. As the channel will be creating content related to psychological disorders, I thought it would be fitting to depict this with an image of a head surrounded by shapes. I also created a text-only version, of course.
*CI
I also thought it appropriate to use illustrative, abstract elements here, as in the logo. These shapes also express emotions in a metaphorical way.
I chose pastel colours that contrast with each other. Rather than creating a depressing design that would pull customers in a negative direction, I thought this colour palette would help, as they wanted to describe a dynamic process in which people share their experiences, and also wanted to reach the younger generation.
I also tried to give the design a paper-like feel by adding a little grain. Finally, I used the Neue Regrade font. Unfortunately, the German letter 'ß' wasn't fully supported, so I added it to the font myself. :)

By the time I’m writing this, the channel has already gained 22,000 subscribers. I’m sure this number will continue to grow rapidly. This is the second YouTube channel I have designed. Previously, I also worked on Was Kostet die Welt, which has since become quite popular. Seeing their success makes me happy.
Video Assets
I also animated the video assets, staying true to the kings in the logo and static images. To make the animations look more analogue, I used posterisation and grain effects. My goal was to create a fun and playful atmosphere. Rather than using complex animations, I opted for minimalist, slow animations that wouldn't distract the viewer. As the visuals already make a strong statement, I didn't want to overwhelm people with overly aggressive movements.

If you haven’t followed the channel yet, I’ll share the link above. I’m very pleased to have worked on this project with Curamotion. If you’re looking for a YouTube channel design, don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
