Spaces of
Resistance
...is an illustrated animated explainer video about transnational feminism in Scandinavia, Russia, and Turkey. For an international team of female scientists at the University of Gothenburg, we developed this project to make the results of the research project Feminism and LGBTI+ Activism in Russia, Scandinavia, and Turkey:
Transnationalizing Spaces of Resistance accessible to a wider audience. In this project, lecturers Olga Sasunkevich, Mia Liinason, and Selin Çağatay accompanied feminist and queer activists from different countries over three years and analyzed their similarities.
Concept & Narrative
The film traces women’s quiet resistance under oppression. Eva Feuchter’s textured illustrations are brought to life through animation, emphasizing gesture, weight, and rhythm. Every line, every movement, becomes a space to reflect: What does resistance look like in its simplest, most essential form?
