Hi!
Im Soner – a visual artist and art director based in Mainz. I work across motion design, animation, illustration, storyboarding, and visual branding for clients ranging from international brands to independent media and cultural institutions.
I approach projects not as isolated tasks, but as narrative systems. My work often blends stylized characters, vibrant pastels, and a sharp sense for color, form, and rhythm – whether it’s an editorial piece, a looping animation, or a campaign on social. I believe in visual clarity with personality, and in design that not only looks good, but tells something real.
I’m not just an illustrator, or a motion designer, or an art director – I work at the intersection of all three. This flexibility allows me to shape each project based on its purpose, and to find the right visual voice for each story.
In my personal projects, I explore themes like relationships, self-criticism, cycling culture, friendship, racism, and everyday growth. And I bring that curiosity and honesty into my commissioned work as well.
Clients like Adobe, FAZ, Apotheken Umschau, and Psychologie Heute value my conceptual thinking, reliability, and the ability to connect storytelling with strong design systems.
Fun fact:
I’m planning to explore Japan by road bike – sketchbook and camera in hand, credit card and Airbnb booked. Probably a visual travel journal will come out of it. Or maybe a semi-animated short film. We’ll see. :)
